We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding! While we'd love to have everyone there, we've chosen to keep it small and intimate with immediate family and our closest friends. We hope you'll understand and celebrate with us in spirit!"

Our Story

P&K's Story

Picture of P&K's Story

Pete and Kristy met on an online dating site—which felt a little scary for both of us but turned out to be one of the best things that's happened for us.

From the very beginning, laughter played a big role in bringing us together.

Pete’s dating profile mentioned that he and his son were proud Denver Broncos fans… while his daughter was a Seahawks fan (which immediately became great teasing material). Kristy, a lifelong Broncos fan herself—with a daughter just as passionate and a son who cheers for whoever the Broncos are playing just to tease her—knew she had to meet him.

When Pete realized Kristy was already a grandma (even though he’s technically older by a few months 😉), the playful banter officially began—and it hasn’t stopped since.

Our very first date was at the lake, a place that quickly became “our place.” We both love the water, the mountains, and being surrounded by family. Pete reintroduced Kristy to adventure—especially snow skiing—something she hadn’t done in years. And as if that wasn’t enough, Kristy quickly discovered that Pete loves to cook—and wow, he might just be the best cook ever!

We love spending time with family, friends, cheering on the Broncos, traveling together, and making memories wherever we go.

We’re so excited about blending our families, continuing to explore new places, and building a life filled with laughter, love, and adventure.

We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter at the lake, surrounded by our favorite people, as we say “I do” and begin forever together.

Dress Code

CASUAL

We’re getting married at the lake because it’s one of our favorite places to be with family and friends.

Since everything will be outdoors, we recommend dressing comfortably for changing Colorado weather, possible wind, and uneven terrain near the sand and lake.

Think relaxed summer wedding vibes.

No suits of any kind: no swimsuits, suits, or your birthday suits:).

Most importantly, come ready for a fun night celebrating with us, for a fun party!

Things to Do

While You’re Visiting Colorado…

If you have a little extra time while you’re in town for our wedding, take a drive through Fort Morgan!

Fort Morgan was featured on HGTV’s Home Town Takeover, where they renovated parts of the downtown area, local businesses, and community spaces.

It’s a fun small-town Colorado stop with cute local shops, restaurants, coffee spots, murals, and some of the makeover locations from the show.

A few fun places to check out:

Main Street downtown

Local coffee shops and boutiques

Murals and renovated storefronts from the show

The bowling alley makeover

Ice cream and local restaurants featured during filming

It’s about an hour from Denver and gives a fun little taste of small-town Colorado.

And honestly… if HGTV can survive the Fort Morgan wind, so can our wedding day.
